I had first become aware of this case through our email and newsgroups monitoring systems in the beginning of February 2000. It seemed a fellow up in Washington State by the name of James Gilliland was making extraordinary claims of 'full blown contact' at his Sattva Sanctuary which was documented with video, photos, physical effects and multiple witnesses. He alleged that this contact had been ongoing and anyone was welcome to experience it for themselves.
I had been vaguely aware of previous claims of UFO events occurring up in this area but had not paid much attention to them, as there was no indicated interest within the several key investigative email groups I monitor. However this latest set of claims critiqued my interest as it had all the earmarks of desired tangible evidence one could possibly desire in this field. So I proceeded with an initial office based investigative assessment into the matter to determine its worth as a case file. I was able to locate and listen to a couple of live radio talk shows which were conducted directly from his ranch during a skywatch event. Listening to this affirmed in my mind that there was indeed something real occurring here. The shows host along with several witnesses discussed events which had occurred in the past along with sightings which were occurring on the spot. It was intriguing to say the least however I was perplexed why no investigative work could be found on this case.
The following week a detailed article on James appeared in UFO Magazine's March, 2000 edition. It was an investigative inquiry and report written by Christopher Montgomery of UFORCE. This was appreciated as it supplied necessary data, background information, and plausible theories related to this case.
After a phone conference with Christopher and James, I decided to open up a case on both James and the Mt. Adams geographic region together, in the same file. Information provided by Christopher indicated the area on the North side, in the Yakima Indian Reservation, had a history of such activity extending back 50 plus years. I felt there was a related connection here that would be important to assimilate into the case file.
I found it extremely interesting that James had no prior interest in UFO’s, or knowledge of his ranch area existing next to a hot spot for such activity. Yet after an N.D.E. (Near Death Experience) he had some 20 years ago, his life was transformed from a fast lane / jet setter type into a very psychically and spiritually open one. This was not something James desired or had any prior interest in, it was just a matter of fate. His NDE was unique in that he communicated with the "source", in the light, and was so moved he expressed a desire to come back and share his experience for all to know.
The dynamics of this which triggered my interest were how his psychic awareness, and inner spiritual guides, led him through a series of circumstances up to the Mt. Adams arena. If this series of events was truly beyond circumstantial, and brought about through spiritual guidance, it was clear the intent was lead him to this geographic area condusive to make this connection with a possible ETI/UTI presence. It was only then that James became involved in the field of UFOlogy.
The combination of these circumstances indicates the possility of a benevolent ETI connection, which is a necessary precedant for our protocols on qualifying a case file . So with a formal case file opened I planned the first of many trips up to the Self-Mastery Earth Institute, in Trout Lake Washington. At the time I had no idea of how hot this case would eventually become.
Though I have conducted a through check and verified a large part (85%) of this information, due to time and staffing constraints there are parts that still need this process applied. I feel James speaks from truth and has willfully provided all requested information to verify the accuracy of his story. Even so, I must state with due diligence, I make no claim as to the accuracy or truth of the information yet unverified. This is basic background information related to his past which will authenticate his NDE experience. I can state however that all testimony, data, gathered evidence, and my own direct experiences that have occurred during the course of this investigation, are delievered in their full un-biased truth.
As an investigator into such cases I would like to expand a little on the importance of utilizing a diciplined methodology in dealing with the subject individual. Its main credance is to remain neutral to the belief system behind the modus-operandi of the individual. The modus operandi is the underlying current and foundation behind phenomenon that is tied to human subjects. Therefore analysis of it is primary as a possible catylst or cause of the anomoly within itself. Great care should be taken by an investigator to avoid involvement, or implied belief, in their subject's beliefe system. Otherwise such psychological influence can contaminate the delicate chemistry involved in such phenomenon, and alter or eliminate it altogether.
Offering an open mind and ear, for all considerations and possibilities, fosters the most productive relationship with a subject, which is condusive to positive objective research being done. Most importantly it creates the desired uncontaminated atmosphere, for clear data to be gained. It has been shown in previous studies that the psychological component can affect the outcome of a psi related event.
I approach this by keeping my psychology as neutral and non effecting as possible. If and when I do offer my objective, hypothetical opinion on a situation, it will always be based upon an open mind with proposals for possible testing to be done. Nothing is taken upon faith except the right to investigate and discern the truth.

II. JAMES GILLILAND – CONTACTEE PROFILE
Pre NDE Life
Approximately 20 years ago, prior to his N.D.E. experience James had his own commercial real estate business, ‘Pro Realty Management’, located in Placenta California. Very material orientated he owned a nice house, boat, and 280Z. He dealt with high-end clients like the head of Rockwell and basically burned the fuse at both ends to achieve success, and material gain. He had no interest in UFO’s, psychic, or spiritual matters, yet he was open to the possibilities and was not a total skeptic.
Dynamic NDE (Near Death Experience)
Information on this phenomenon has been well documented over time, from data accumulated on thousands of cases world wide. This huge body of research and data share many common themes and similar correlations. One of the most notable contributors in this research is Dr. Raymond Moody whom currently holds the prestigious 'Bigelow Chair of Consciousness Studies'at the University of Nevada. A study of this data would reveal that James' experience was rare and quite unique in terms of NDE cases.
An N.D.E. (Near Death Experience) occurs typically when an individual will become inflicted from a sudden disaster plunging them into a Near Death Experience. Most cases exist where they are considered legally dead with no heart rate or breath. Many times such an experience will reveal the ability to see what is going on, from outside there body. This is substantiated from their testimony upon recovery.
Typically many describe traveling through a 'tunnel' drawn toward a beckoning light far off into the distance. Then typically they encounter a 'crossing or border', where a 'being of light' reckons with them to reveal this as the point of no return. A return to life is usually opted for here, especially since the alternative seems to represent a full death of the physical body.
James was body surfing off the coast with several other people, when 3 monstrous 17- 25’ sneaker waves came out of nowhere and caught everyone off guard. All were slammed into a test of survival. With a dislocated shoulder and collapsed diaphragm he dove into the first wave, which held him under forever. He finally fought his way up to the top for the precious air he so desperately needed, however he knew he was in trouble when he found himself unable to breeth due to his collapsed diaphragm. James finally realized he had to give in to death, and surrendered.
Instead of leaving his body and making a slow journey through a tunnel, he shot straight into the light over the “crossing point” in a literal flash. Of course he didn't really know the difference anyhow, as he was not educated the NDE experience. In the peacefull bliss of the all encompassing light he was in total awe and wonder, over his experience and where he was at. He describes it as: A dimension less, timeless, place of light - representing the essence of an aware, intelligent, loving, all knowing being, he would referr to as "The Source". His perception was one of the Creator, Absolute, life force from which ALL originates, and also referenced to by many other names to mean one of the same, 'GOD'.In his mysterious awe, he felt surrounded by a nurturing atmosphere of peace, love, and bliss. James went through a process of dumping old religious programming, which could easily deny such a dream. Suddenly he began to fully comprehend the fantastic super-reality, he was blessed with and surrounded by. It felt complete, like he never wanted to leave, as if he was finally home. Having just come out of such a traumatic experience and being so moved by this ecstatic grace, he telepathically asked the source how he could stay.
James states the source replied, “I never told one of my children when to come or go -- that’s free will.” After James processed this he asked, “how can I earn the right to stay?” The source replied, “you can not earn what is given freely and unconditionally.” James realized this was a compassionate, unconditional, and all loving GOD which was in complete contrast to the GOD that our religious faiths have portrayed, instead as conditional, judgmental, and demanding of sacrifice.
He goes on to explain how 'The Source' was totally opposite from this programming. Being instead unconditional, with full love, joy, and bliss, far beyond any type of ego, power, or constraint that ever could create the instillment of fear.
Floating around peacefully in the timeless light James processed all of this. He felt so blessed and grateful he asked The Source “how can I be of service?” Eventually a timeless reply came back of, “what do you want to do - what gives you joy?” With this answer he realized there was no grand plan, or pre destiny laid out by The Source. He simply wanted us to be happy and follow our bliss.
James became flooded with the concept of GOD as represented to humanity on Earth. James felt a strong realization of how clearly wrong this was, causing our own creation of negative conditions and rules that would forever keep us separated from the creator's true indentity. And in that process we would loose our ability to manifest fully within life as one of the same, as GOD.
James exclaimed to The Source, “nothing would bring me more joy then to come back into life with what I have learned here, to dispel the old images of an existing wrathful GOD, and share truth of what The Source truly is.”
James’s life was turned inside out from his experience. His perception and feeling of the world around him was completely different, unlike anything he had ever experienced. He likens it to "being blown wide open, like being thrown back to being a child again. His new found psychic sensitivity created a crippling effect in his life, as he grasped at dealing with the realities of the everyday business world around him. Instead he saw the inner motives, intents, and hopes of everyone he came into contact with, telepathically knowing their very thoughts and aspirations.
Normal levels of his former existence became unmanageable as he lost all interest and motivation in personal material gains. He was basically alone in his struggle with no support or understanding as to what he was going through. Within weeks he traded in his old life for a new, giving away, selling, and assigning temporary control over all his property, real estate, and assets.
He moved to the pristine wilderness of the Santa Cruz mountains. There he found peace and serenity, as he still struggled to understand his experience, and to still let go of more remaining religious programming he has been conditioned with.
James embarked on a 10-year path of study, training, and guidance in a variety of various esoteric schools such as Eastern, TIC (Teachings of Inner Christ), Native American lodges, and the Tibetan Foundation where he was initiated and certified as a channel for the Highest Consciousness and Energy.I have experienced his knowledge and viewed several initiation cirtificates related to this background. http://psi-app.com/gilliland/cert123.htm
Having honed his psychic awareness and abilities, he became an able practitioner with his gifts in clairvoyance, divination, and healing. This also involved the ability to have telepathic communication with various “enlightened” ethereal entities from all our faiths. Strange synchronisic occurrences would indicate he was on the right path as he learned to follow this inner guidance.
New Destiny
James began to gain a reputation, and served as a spiritual teacher and counselor from a small house he rented in SantaCruz. Eventually this became an eclectic meeting place for many whom came his way seeking inspiration. Space was tight and the demands were high and James could feel a major change on the horizon.
He began to have strong visions of a particular serene mountain setting. The guidance had learned to trust relayed to him these visions were of his future destiny and home. It continued to repeat itself and grow stronger, yet he had no idea where it was located.
In his vision he would see a plot of land he was to build on with a huge snow capped mountain with a river running past it on the east and another small mountain to the west. Perplexed by where this might be, he put his 'divining' talents to work over a map of the U.S. Utilizing a pendulum, and the palm of his hand, he slowly traversed the map a section at a time. His stronger reaction was the area located east of Mt. Adams in Washington. Indeed the map indicated the features of his visions with the Salmon River to the east of Mt. Adams and another small mountain due west. Between the river and the small mountain was where he drew a circle in the area of Trout Lake. James had trouble imagining a move to Washington State, especially after living and being established in California all his life. He simply dismissed the notion for the moment and tossed the map aside.
Some time later, strange circumstances brought about a job offer in Hood River, Oregon. The timing and feeling was right for this, and he took notice of its location being close the proximity of his envisioned land. Following the guidance he had learned to trust he took the job and made the move.
Real estate agents were put to the test trying to show available properties to James that might fit his expectations. Eventuallyhe found his current location and as he made his first step onto that land, he knew immediately it was the one of his vision.His last moving trips from Santa Cruz revealed the map he had divined a year prior. Everyone was amazed to see the circlealmost exactly where his ranch is now located.
His vision and purpose became further defined as he settled in to owning his property in 1987. The concept involved the creation of the Self-Mastery Earth Institute with an overall mission of promoting spiritual awareness, harmony, and respect for the Earth. Over the next several year he developed the land, built his residence, the Bridge House and the adjacent guest facilities, while practicing and further developing his meditation and spiritual disciplines. From 1987 to 1994 all of James energy was invested strictly within this holistic model. He had no interest in UFOs and had never seen anything unusual in the sky during this time. Likewise he also had no knowledge of any of the previous UFO history, associated with the N.E. side of Mt. Adams, in the Yakima Indian Reservation.
Then one day 7 years later while in a deep meditation in the Bridge House he perceived a telepathic communication with an unfamiliar source. When he asked for the sources identity, it stated “from a ‘ship’ above you”. This took James for a jolt as his contact had always been with ethereal entities. Nothing like this had ever occurred before. At first he felt his mind was playing tricks, and he was not reading properly. He terminated the meditation to gather himself, when suddenly a pounding knock at the door was heard. As he opened the door, to his shock his sister and friend were exclaiming they had just witnessed a metallic UFO craft hovering over the Bridge House. At this point in the our interview James stated, "I realized then, I had to own it!”
Since that time, there has been a preponderance of anomalous N.L. & U.F.O. activity over the ranch. This has increased exponentially over the years since then, resulting in the current years extremely high rate of occurrences. The first year there were only a few events that occurred. Currently during some months there is activity every night. Sometimes the activity during any one evening will number into as much as 4-5 separate events, some even with multiple incidents occurring simultaneously.
The large majority of this activity occurs in the evening hours from around 8-11 P.M. However there is a degree of activity, which consists of daytime and dusk sightings. Evening sightings are typical in their appearance and behavior as the balls of light described in Ackers & Long’s research. Occasional daytime sightings consist of solid metallic craft, which are saucer and triangle shaped.
Evening sightings are typically large white luminous defined spheres of light, which appears in the atmosphere at an estimated altitude of 500 to 2000’ typically. Some have been orange and red also. At times a bluish/purplish auras can be seen emanating from the spheres. There are occasional flukes to these cases such as bar lights, sparkling wavering spheres, etc..
They will travel in a seemingly intelligent, controlled, slow fashion, while following an unpredictable trajectory path, often making wide arches in a reconnaissance type pattern. They travel in total silence and will often ‘flare’ up to become larger, and sometimes pulsate. They typically seem to be over, or around the perimeter, of the ranch. They have a responsive interactive pattern of behavior, and have responded to simple CE-5 protocols such as spot beam signaling. They have been seen to react, flash, and speed up with the exclaimed excitement of multiple witnesses whom are present, shouting for a reaction from the lights.
On more then one occasion James has been observed to have a sense of when they are nearby. He describes this ability perceived as a buzzing sensation in the back of his head.
September of 1999 James made the extraordinary claim of being beamed up onto a 'light ship', and meeting a female human appearing ET named Blaji whom delivered a message to him.

A significant investigative research study was that commissioned by Dr. J. Allen Hynek back in 1972. Dr. Hynek’s awareness and interest was drawn after a correspondence with Bill Vogel revealed the gravity and frequency of events, which has been documented. In April of 1972. Dr. Hynek was attending an astronomical meeting in Seatlle, whereby he took upon the opportunity to meet with Vogel and survey the area. He then met with several other lookouts and witnesses in a closed door briefing and acessement. When he was done he stated the level of UFO activity on the Reservation seemed the highest of any place he knew of at that time.
At the request of Dr. Hynek the Tribal Counsel granted a permit for a 3 year study to be undertaken. David Akers of the Aerial Phenomena Research Organization (APRO) was to spearhead and conduct the investigation. As a qualified engineer and UFO investigator for APRO since 1966 his experience and reserved balanced approach made him the man for the job. He assembled an array of scientific measuring instruments and special cameras to utilize, and carefully laid out his plan for the study.
A cooperated effort was effected between the lookouts, Bill Vogel, and Akers. It seemed prior experience had revealed an uncanny awareness the anomalous lights may have had of radio communication between towers of their observations, because immediately afterward the lights would disappear. So a code was developed so the radio frequency could be utilized for this purpose without alerting the UFOs. Additionaly lookouts would be utilizing azimuth readings and cross-shots between towers for accurate zeroing in on the anomalies.

In short Akers concluded there was definitely a Nocturnal Light phenomenon occurring in the Toppenish area. Initially in his early report its indicated there was nothing conclusive to indicate an extra terrestrial source, yet he states, “On the other hand, something very unusual is taking place.”
It was also indicated that shortening the distance to the actual events would serve great value and would enable successful use of other equipment such as spectral imaging and other anaylisis techniques. The closest distance to any sighting event was 8 miles, limiting documentation to photographic imaging which was still vague revealing little detail or information.
His final report revealed a total of 55 sighting reports, an indicated caution on drawing any conclusions with to low a number, however a pattern was mentioned showing 7 PM to 12 midnight as the peak time for sightings to occure. He also concluded that continued studies should be conducted to further the value content of the data base for cross correlations and patterns to possibly be noticed.
VIDEO FOOTAGE - James is to be credited with becoming quite the budding investigator, for it is through his dedicated efforts and determination most of this video footage was filmed (unless otherwise noted). Initially I showed him the virtues of a $300 8mm Sony Night Cam and has been on a roll ever since. We believe this footage is the main key to documenting this cases truth. It's appropriate to mention here that James has turned down a financial offer for the exclusive rights to this footage.
Instead, he freely released it to us so we could extract some of the best clips to load up with this article and report. This was so it could be utilized as necessary documentation for this report. He has filmed upward of 10 hours footage of UFO activity with witnesses present. The following are some of the most dynamic clips that show this definitive UFO activity.

1.JET / UFO CHASE
This event occurred recently in December of 2000 and was recorded by James from his ranch facing toward Mt. Adams. The clip starts out with the moon as a reference point and slowly pans over toward the mountain. Two other witnesses are also present in the video and can b
e heard initially speculating if their observation is a UFO. Suddenly a jet appears, vectoring in on the UFO from the left. Even from an estimated distance of approximately 12 miles you can hear the afterburners on the jet while the UFO makes an evasive maneuver. This is interesting because you are able to gain an easy comparison between the jet and UFO. The UFO is obviously many times larger then the jet. Try a 'negative art'
imaging on the freeze frame below to view this. You will see the jet on the left and the UFO light on the right. There have been many accounts of this activity. This one is best viewed in AVI format. Set your contrast higher and the brightness down for better clarity.

2.NLs INTERACT / LAND (Spar Giedeman)
This is a special piece shot from James' ranch by Spar, on November 28, 2000 at 1:20 A.M. He was facing toward the base of Mt. Adams a
little off to the right. One NL can be seen low to the ridge moving back and forth behind the trees. The other seems to be working with
it
further up in the air. A few weeks later, James filmed a landed UFO in the same vicinity that eventually it took flight. A freeze frame enhancement from Spars' clip reveals some startling 'sci-fi' appearing details. It can be seen at Gilliland Enhancements.

3.RADICAL FLIGHT NL

iThis footage was shot by James sometime in September of 2000 fromhis ranch. What is significant about this footage these characteristics firmly eliminate any 'satellite' considerations. This UFO goes from a dim-magnitude / slow-velocity, to a very bright-magnitude / high velocity, as it suddenly takes off into a radical trajectory, passing the star Vega. In this freeze frame you can see the UFO in the lower part, passing
Vega in the upper part, just as it kicks in to its radical mode. Is it possible this observation is indicative of an increased corona, caused an engaged propulsion system? 4.CE-5 RESPONSIVE NL
This footage was shot by James sometime in October of 2000. Multiple witnesses can be heard in the background shouting, "light it u
p!" This clip clearly shows a possible intelligence with a CE-5 response. This type of behavior occurs on a regular basis in a large percentage of these sightings. Expanded information can be found on our CE-5 Response Patterns page.

5.FA-14s BUZZ RANCH
This footage shows the military interest displayed over James' ranch. The footage shows James panning up from the ground in surprise, to catch these two low flyers coming in from a S.E. direction, to a low flying buzz of approximately 500 feet. Then with afterburners on
shooting off into a N.E. direction. Other activity has included low flying black choppers with strange equipment and no markings. This is completely out of the range of any normal flight paths, and the closest military landing strip is well over 60 miles away.

When we were at James Gilliland's Sattva Sanctuary in June we both experienced seeing several 'sightings' in the sky. James and a couple from Portland (a dentist I believe, and photographer) Gary Van Winkle, MD and Mona Leigh Turner, business owner were in attendance. Also a man named Paul. Several of us had never met previously. I (Mona) began to sense there was going to be an appearance in a certain area of the sky and watched it for at least 10+ minutes. We were all talking around the campfire and I mentioned believing I was watching the correct area. Paul came and stood next to me and perhaps 4 minutes after that I saw a fast moving high flying object flying in an erratic pattern and varying speeds. I mentioned it and Paul also saw it. Then Gary and James also were watching it. After a minute or more of watching it James said "Come on now light up for us." and at that moment the entire object changed size and glowed quite large emitting a radiant white light with a slight trail...then returned to its original size and speed and then after 10 seconds it just disappeared. We saw a few other UFOs flying high and moving rapidly but changing patterns and directions. This occurred on June 26th, 1999. I have visited James and Carolyn at the Sanctuary on several occasions and have always had UFO experiences. I (Mona)have written about the most intense of these to James as well. The most memorable being the experience of a UFO that morphed shapes, changed size, seemed to communicate with James who signaled with a high intensity light, went in circles, flew long distances away out of sight and then instantly returned and seemed to 'buzz' us through the valley near Mt. Adams as it glowed as a huge golden ball and flew right in front of us and then out of sight at very close range. 14 UFOs Sighted Above Trout Lake, Washington

JUNE 1, 2000, TROUT LAKE, WA. Over the span of two nights, on May 24 and 25, between the hours of approximately 10:00pm and midnight, James Gilliland and I (in part accompanied by Carolyn Gray and Marian Abbott) were witness to fourteen high-flying UFOs that were visible in the sky over Gilliland's ranch in Trout Lake, Washington. The ranch is an hour east of Portland, about 30 minutes north of the Columbia River gorge, and just south of Mt. Adams.
The objects appeared as small, luminous spheres flying to and fro across the sky in the upper atmosphere, approximately two to three times the brightness of the brightest stars. They flew at varying speeds, flaring and dimming as they went, sometimes changed directions, and made no sound. One anomalous light among the UFOs was a brief, intense flash, roughly four to five times brighter than the brightest stars. The fourteen UFOs were among other unidentifiable flying objects Gilliland said were visible during a similar timeframe on three other nights that week, when I was not present.
In fact, UFOs appear on a regular basis in the skies over Trout Lake and have been seen by many visitors to his ranch, according to Gilliland. The ranch serves as a spiritual retreat and fledgling horticultural community, called the Self-Mastery Earth Institute and Sattva Sanctuary. Gilliland was able to videotape some of the high-flying objects we saw together, using a Sony CCD TR517 Night Shot 200X camcorder, set on infinity focus, and I viewed the footage the next morning. He also has photos of low-flying UFOs, which readers can see for themselves in the article entitled "Washington State UFO Hot Spot," in the March 2000 issue of UFO Magazine (Vol. 15, No. 3). While at the ranch, I also viewed video testimony of a Native American policeman from the nearby Yakima Reservation of UFOs seen several times over Mt. Adams, as well as video testimony of a lower-flying craft seen by a woman named Donna over Gilliland's ranch.
Wednesday, May 24 was the biggest night for the sightings, as the sky was exceptionally clear. I counted twelve luminous high-flying UFOs among other objects flying in the sky. In fact, the sightings were a lesson in visual discrimination. Among the objects I saw that night (and excluded from my count) were two planes descending in the western sky, moving southward toward the Portland Airport. I could identify them by their running lights, which blinked as they descended. I also saw what I took to be two satellites, which I tracked across the full span of the sky, from the southwest to the northeast. They were identifiable, I judge, by the straightness and constancy of their flight and by the fact they seemed visible by reflected solar light (i.e., they were very, very high in the sky). Finally, I also saw two meteorites, which I identified easily by their bright and rapid descent. They streaked in from deep space and burned themselves up in one or two seconds.
I also saw two additional UFOs on Thursday, May 25, between 10:30pm and 11:45 pm, that looked just like the other twelve. Moreover, I again saw the same two satellites I'd seen the night before, and a third bright meteorite, which behaved like the previous two. Our Thursday night skywatch was hampered by rain earlier in the evening and the sky was largely obscured by clouds, save for a fairly clear space that opened up overhead.
The question, of course, immediately arises: were the UFOs secret military craft? I think it's unlikely they were black ops U.S. military vehicles simply because of the sheer number we saw in the short timeframe. Moreover, each of the UFOs was very much like all the others to the naked eye and shared the same flight characteristics with each other. They moved variously, both rapidly and slowly, sometimes changed directions, and made no sound. Thus, in my view, if they weren't planes, stealth craft, satellites, meteorites, helicopters, gliders, kites or weather balloons (since they clearly weren't drifting), by definition they were UFOs (unidentified flying objects). Future sightings of lower-flying craft may help me to determine what they are (at least to my satisfaction), so I plan to return to the ranch in the near future in the hopes of seeing them closer up.
Now the question becomes: what are so many UFOs doing in that sector of the Washington skies? They certainly seemed to be going about their business, as if the area was a kind of outer-space port-of-call. For example, several craft descended behind Mt. Adams as I watched. Three of the craft also "disappeared" in a section of the eastern sky Gilliland and I had visually framed by a triangular configuration of stars. Where did they all go to? I can't say. It's all rather mysterious.

At about 10:02 PM PST, approximately 12 eye-witnesses (including myself) saw a very bright, golden white light come from almost due south heading north. It was coming almost straight towards us. It appeared to be at an altitude of what passenger airliners fly. When it was nearly over the ranch, it began a slow turn and headed due east. Two of the eye-witnesses were able to get it on video. One eye-witness caught in on 35mm film. This light was very large in comparison to the stars and satellites and it remained a constant brightness. There was no noise.
At about 11:40 PM PST, approximately 8-10 of us from the same group saw another golden white light at low altitude flying from west to east (northwest from our viewing spot) over Mt. Adams. When it was just about due north of us, it flared up in size and brilliance and had a blue aura around it that lasted for about 3-4 seconds. It then flew off at the same speed off to the east. This one was caught on two different video cameras, including the one I was using which was able to pick up the blue color than came off it.
We will be posting this footage just as soon as I can locate the computer equipment to do so. I will also be posting some of the other testimonials from the other eye-witnesses as they come to us.
Over the 3 different nights I was there (Monday, Tuesday and Saturday), I saw many, many anomalous lights, but

This is to confirm the observations (and filming) we had done on the last weekend of July in your ranch during my visit on July 29 and 30th, 2000, with almost new moon condition(two days to new moon to be exact); several observations of lit objects traveling high in the sky in various directions. starting at 9:30 p.m. all the way to 12 midnight. One prominent one lit up at 11:20 very brightly for a long time going from south to north. As you recall, you had a premonition about the timing of this UFO...
The fact that new moon was only two days away and the late time of observation makes any possibility of sun or moon related lighting impossible. One unmistakable lit object on the mount Adams was interesting as well...
On July 30th several of the same, although less glamorous, was observed after 9:30 p.m. However the most exciting one that night was the Rod that I filmed using my Infra-Red video camera. This is probably the first time ever Rods are filmed at night...

On July 1st, Ralph Meany, James Gilliland and I all took videos and photographed at least one of the same objects, the first one that everyone awed and oohed. Because we had different gear and used different zooms, we got a lot of different perspective shots. In addition, John Novak and James both got one of the objects that flared, it turns out that I caught that one for a moment so again we have more perspective shots of the flaring object. With regard to the anomalous lights July 1:
On July 1 at 10:06 PM, 4 people witnessed and photographed a very bright object that passed from a westerly to easterly direction. Others witnessed the object but didn't photograph it. I have gone to the heavens-above.com web site and researched every possible satellite listed. Below are the details of that search.
·MIR - The Russian manned space station passed over at within the closest time frame of 11:37 PM PST, with a.8 magnitude(more about magnitudes later) and would have been seen crossing from the WNW to the NE. So the object witnessed at 10:06 was not MIR.
· ISS - The International Space Station could not be viewed between June 28 and July 8 so the object witnessed at 10:06 was not ISS.
·Iridium flares - The low orbit communications satellites that flare due to the reflection of the sun off the rectangular shaped main antennae-a flare occurred within the closest time frame of 11:18 PM PST. So the object witnessed at 10:06 was most likely not an iridium flare (there are some unstable satellites that aren't listed). The object witnessed at 10:06 didn't flare but maintained it's brightness.
·Other bright satellites - Rockets that are brighter than 4.5- seven of these passed within a reasonable time frame ( 9:55 to 10:19), the brightest magnitude of these was a 2.5 caused by the Lacrosse 3 rocket (magnitudes are brighter the lower the number) at 10:10 PM PST passing fromWNW to SSE-this is the opposite direction of object witnessed at 10:06. Also I'd like to point out that none of these supposed bright satellites were bright enough to garner attention-we saw many satellites that night-they were dim. So if it could have been the Lacrosse rocket, we should have been in ecstasy the whole evening as there were 20 of these "bright satellites" between 9:54 and 11:59 PM PST with magnitudes within 2.7 and 4.5 as their brightest and best.
·Amateur radio satellites - Heavens-above doesn't list the magnitudes of these and doesn't mention them as visibly note worthy, however, to be thorough, the radio satellite within the closest time frame was Uribyol 2 which passed at 10:14 PM PST and would have been seen in the W (if it could be seen at all). It is doubtful that these have magnitudes brighter than 4.5. So the object at 10:10 was probably not an amateur radio satellite.
Analysis:
We have some idea of the magnitude of the brightness of the object viewed at 10:06 as we observed satellites all evening that were in comparison very dim. We can say with relative certainty that the object was brighter than the 2 to 4 magnitude satellites.
Another point of interest is that I saw an object while camping up at Mt. Adams on June 29 (Thursday evening) which was seen at 10:40 PM PST seen from SSE to NE. Marion Abbott also saw this same object. I have just confirmed with data from Heavens-above that this was the MIR space station that passed in the same direction at the same time of this sighting. The magnitude was a -1.3 which is much much brighter than magnitudes 2 to 4 and would have appeared very bright-like it did. This bright object resembled the object viewed at 10:06 in brightness and flight characteristics. Also, at James's ranch on
July 2nd we saw a flash-at 11:15 PM PST in the NE, I have just confirmed that this flash was most likely due to iridium flare #81 which would have been seen at 11:12 PM PST (close enough) and flared with a -7 magnitude which is very very bright (we saw it through clouds).
Another sighting occurred around 11:40 PM PST on July 1 and this might be attributed to MIR with a magnitude of .8 which occurred at 11:37 PM PST heading from WNW to NE. The direction is correct, the time is correct, but the light characteristics aren't correct as the object observed was much brighter than a .8 and in addition it flared-so no conclusion as to whether it was MIR should be made-as I've already stated-there were many satellites occurring at the same time of the very bright objects witnessed.
Conclusion - Both very bright objects at James's ranch (10:06 and the other at 11:40) could not be matched reasonably with data from Heaven's above web site. No satellites or rockets with a magnitude of significance occurred at 10:06 (howvever-not all satellites are listed). The 11:40 may have been the MIR but it didn't act like the MIR and was much much too bright to be MIR passing with the puny .8 magnitude reported. I would like to suggest that a group of us get together and film known objects from James's ranch-obtain schedules of -8 magnitude flares (brightest flares) and MIR and ISS and film these.
We would then have comparisons to make with the objects filmed on July 1 and any subsequent dates. As of yet, the mystery is unsolved.
For those of you who haven't heard of heavens-above web site, please check it out as anyone who is watching the skies should be aware of this resource which is extremely friendly and easy to use.
Oh...magnitudes...-8 is very bright and +4 comparitively dim. Venus is rated at -4.4, Sirius at -1.44, MIR at max -2.
Addendum:
Hi James I went back to heavens-above.com and viewed the MIR data for July 13 again (Thursday). It turns out that after the fact, they have recalculated the MIR brightness of each of the 3 days that I thought you should look at MIR...
In particular, the object you filmed called "the big gold one", is now rated at a -.5 (dimmer) instead of a -1.1 as originally posted before it passed over.. This adds some strangeness to the fact that what you saw and filmed was remakably bright, it would seem as a preliminary guess that what you saw was much brighter than a -.5, even a -1.1 had not seemed sufficient (remember that a -1.1 is much brighter than a -.5).....
I would like to urge you to try and gather photos of MIR at magnitudes between 0 and -2. It's possible that you may be able to prove your UFO based on the brightness of it compared to multiple other videos of MIR at magnitudes between 0 and -2..
Can you get the videos of July 10, 12 and 13? I think you said you caught MIR on video on those days. Those would be fabulous comparisons because they should have all been at a similar brightness. You may even be able to prove it just with those videos. One thing to keep in mind-while videoing proof-you need to narrate exactly what you're doing as you're filming-call out that you're filming MIR going from what direction to what and at what time..

I have just returned from spending the 4th of July holiday with Carolyn Gray and James Gilliland, the two people who hosted the Seattle Art Bell Chat Club and myself as well as the many guest speakers for that event. I came away quite amazed with all the unusual events that took place during my stay at the Sattva Sanctuary and Self Mastery Earth Institute, and James' many unusual abilities and which were constantly on display.
Among the many things that I experienced were my first UFO sightings ever, and there were plenty of them. The very first evening of my arrival, and there's no mistaking them since they were right angling and growing in intensity into glowing balls of light and then dwindling to almost nothing, then reappearing and streaking across the sky before expanding or disappearing altogether, even moving in circles and around stars in their path. I saw one that showed up every night, hovering primarily over the nearby Indian reservation at the base of Mt. Adams. This ship was up in the air and moving up and down the side of the mountain and above the tree tops, then would dip down, before ascending back up again. It continued to do this for as long as I stayed and watched.
James also did a retro-clearing for me. I had told him of an unfortunate experience I was having due to a visit from a guest who had been on my show and who is a psychic intuitive and clairvoyant. It's too much to go into but there was some trapped energy in my body and around my heart that had been blocking my performance due to the stress level it was creating. I asked James' and his friend, Carolyn Gray's help in clearing this and when it was over, I was at peace, and the retro-clearing that they did, helped clear and lift the air everywhere in my home to where it felt light and loving again.
While on my visit, I noticed a large clock on the wall in the Bridgehouse (their term for "Lodge") that had stopped and had shown the same time for two or three days. When James removed its batteries, held them in his hand for about 1 1/2 minutes, and then put them back into the clock, it began to tick and continued to run for the entire time I was there.
When I tried to start my recording machine on the last day of my visit, I discovered that my batteries had died; and I went into my spare supply that I kept in my case, most of them were dead also. So, after mentioning my dilemma to James, he held all nine batteries in his hands, and trust me, they were all deader than a doornail and then returned them to me, and they were all completely recharged and ready to go. All of this took about two minutes to do, during which time I stood and watched. He's truly amazing to observe.
James has a powerful message concerning interdimensional mind, earth changes as well as UFO's, and their origins and intentions. Upwards of a hundred hours of video footage has been shot by James utilizing a simple $300 Sony Night Cam I introduced him to on my first trip up there. Countless still photos have also been taken. Some of these witnesses were very highly qualified and have come from very expert investigative backgrounds.
