ED KOMAREK ekomarek@mail.caironet.com
Ed Komarek was born the 24th day of November, 1948 on planet earth the third planet of the star sol near the elliptic edge of the milky way galaxy. Past history and purpose on earth are still classified by star fleet. However it has been rumored that Ed Komarek might be a star fleet operative under deep cover here to help prepare humankind on earth for cosmic contact.
Ed Komarek lives in South Georgia amongst the pines, 20 miles north of Tallahassee FL, back in the woods overlooking a pond. Ed was born and raised in this area by parents well known in the ecological scientific community. Raised amongst some of the top ecologists of the period Ed learned a deep appreciation and curiosity about nature and natural law.
If Lucien Harris was down collecting butterflies, then little Eddie was out with the butterfly net. If George Renard was down from Cornell recording bird songs, Eddie was out with a tape recorder too. If Eddie⊃1;s dad wanted some bats for the Museum of Natural History, Eddie was down at the barn shooting bats and then skinning and stuffing them for the Museum. If Herb Stoddard was out picking up birds that had hit the television tower at Tall Timbers Research Station, then Eddie was there helping by taking the ones with broken wings back home as pets to live in the house.
Early in his life Ed was taken on many camping trips around the country from Alaska to the southern tip of Mexico. Later on his own he was to become a world traveler. Many an early summer was spent with the Hopi Indians of Arizona where Ed senior and his mother Betty had developed a close and loving relationship with the Hopi elders. While Ed senior was always the objective scientist looking at the ceremonies from the outside with respect, little Eddie was being taught Hopi dances by the elders. Thus even at this early age Ed was learning both the subjective-objective nature of inquiry.
After going to college for a year at a local university Ed took off for Alaska, where he attended the University of Alaska for two years. He then went to work for the Alaska Dept. of Fish and Game for three summers doing pre pipeline ecological impact studies, in the wilds of the North Slope and the Arctic Wildlife Refuge. Ed also conducted fisheries studies on his own there. Ed's supervisors quickly learned that the North Slope was dangerous land for the uninitiated, as two of them lost their lives in the Arctic ocean, amongst the ice pack with never a trace to be found. Ed
pretty near lost his life also one time while there. In a pinch he had to surf the waves of the arctic ocean in a canoe with a five horsepower motor. While aiming for shore in waters that would kill in three minutes if you fell in, he skillfully piloted his way to safety.
Having been raised and trained to be a ecologist Ed suddenly began to realize that this was not to be his way. He dropped out of college, worked on the Trains- Alaska Pipe Line for three summers, while saving his money and investing it wisely in land. He then began a search of self discovery, which was difficult at first. He felt that the world, which most men and women lived in, was to small and narrow for his expanding visions. He began to study all anomalies that existed in his world view at the time. This awareness eventually led him into his grand wondrous view of the cosmos. He came to
realize a personal hypothesis, that we are all eternal beings inhabiting bodies from time to time, while we learn the lessons that must be learned on earth. Also that what really mattered was not fortune or fame but wisdom. Ed always had maintained an interest and study in telepathy, UFOs, ETs, and things of that nature.
These new realizations combined with that over time brought him to become very involved in the UFO/ET field. Ed sees the UFO/ET field as a smaller subset, of a much larger set, which encompasses the soul, reincarnation, and many yet undiscovered eternal truths linking to the cosmos. Ed feels it is unfortunate that the current overall perspective, that most people on earth currently have, is trapped in the smallest of existing subsets, of basic survival, reproduction, and greed.. Once that Ed basically figured out the lay of the land so to speak, the boundaries of who he was expanded to
include all that is, within the universe itself. While on one hand he protects and secures his life to operate on this planet, he also works for the good of the whole in his own way knowing that in essence, all is one. He felt that one does to another one does to oneself, as all is interconnected, like a rising tide that lifts all boats.
Ed CO-founded Operation Right To Know in the fall of 1991 with Mike Jamieson. The reason for the founding was a attempt to steer the UFO community back toward political action to develop political solutions to what was clearly a political problem a massive UFO/ET coverup.
The road to political action was begun by the late Donald Keyhoe but interest later was cleverly diverted into investigations and away from political action so that the UFO community would become essentially a civilian observer corps for the intelligence community. It is obvious that scientific solutions will not solve a political problem and thus the coverup up would remain secure with the minds of the UFO/ET community so trapped and contained.
Operation Right To Know (ORTK) then went on to provide a interface between the mainstream media and the UFO/ET community through a series of nationally covered demonstrations. In this case the demonstrations were the mechanism to break down the firewall of ridicule and denial between the UFO/ET community and the national media.
To Ed titles, education, power, and money all have little value unless they are useful in the attaining of wisdom. He feels that education is a two edged sword because it is a conditioning process, which tends to focus a person over time into a very specialized and limited perspective. Thus he feels the importance of educating oneself should only be directly related to one's current needs of knowledge, but not before. Ed summarizes that, "life is like painting a picture, if you work up close with the details to much, and do not step back for perspective, the details loose their relationship to the
picture as a whole.". This is why he feels, so many people get easily lost, and lose their 'way' in life. He feels they get lost in the details and forget about the big picture.
Ed summarizes his feeling by saying, "I was just reading a book last night on the Greek civilization where the Greeks stressed the need for quiet sanctuary. That's so very true because action must be balanced bequiet reflection and meditation. An inscription at the Temple of Delphi says, ⊃3;know thyself⊃2; . In knowing ourselves we know the cosmos, because all is one and one is all. Whether one begins the discovery and inquiry up close or far away, eventually ALL comes together."
